I'll be writing about news from Lansing that impacts sportsmen (this means ladies as well), talking about things I find when I go overseas to visit my children, and adding your comments into the mix.
Because fishing really interests me, I will tend to concentrate in that area, but will digress on such topics as gun control which is in the news a lot
right now, some of the animal rights stuff trying to take some freedoms away from us, ecology, and of course your comments.
I am not a hunter anymore and have no trouble with those that do hunt so long as they obey the laws. However with the none use of hunting license back tags nobody knows which hunters have bought their license and which are poaching. The money the state gets from these license sales goes a long way to lease lands that allows hunters to enjoy their sport. Without a place to hunt many hang up their guns, stop buying gear and the state loses even more tax money on the sale of hunting related supplies. How do you know your buddy is paying his fair share as there are no Conservation Officers to check his license. Wouldn't a back tag make sense again?
